<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> ARTICLE IX <br /> <br /> 9.0 HOLIDAYS <br /> <br /> 9.1 Legal holidays observed by full-time permanent and probationary <br /> employees of the City of Santa Ana are as follows: <br /> <br /> o January 1 - New Year's Day. <br /> <br /> o Third (3rd) Monday in January - In observance of Martin Luther King, Jr.'s <br /> Birthday. <br /> <br /> o Third (3rd) Monday in February - In commemoration of President's Day. <br /> <br /> o Last Monday in May - In commemoration of Memorial Day. <br /> <br /> o July 4th - In observance of Independence Day. <br /> <br /> o First (1 St) Monday in September - In observance of Labor Day. <br /> <br /> o November 1 1 th - In observance of Veterans' Day. <br /> <br /> o Fourth (4th) Thursday in November - In observance of Thanksgiving Day. <br /> <br /> <br /> o The Friday immediately following Thanksgiving Day. <br /> <br /> o Last working day before Christmas Day, unless Christmas Day falls on <br /> Thursday, in which instance, the day following Christmas Day shall be <br /> observed in lieu thereof. <br /> <br /> o December 25th - In observance of Christmas Day. <br /> <br /> o One (1) Floating Holiday - Any workday selected by the employee with <br /> prior permission of the employee's supervisor. <br /> <br /> o Every day proclaimed by the Mayor of the City as a holiday for City <br /> employees. <br /> <br /> o Any holiday which falls on a Sunday shall be observed on the following <br /> Monday. <br /> <br /> o Any holiday which falls on a Saturday shall be observed on the Friday <br /> preceding the holiday. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> CONFIDENTIAL ASSOCIATION OF SANTA ANA (CASA) MOU: 2010 - 2012 Page 31 <br /> 25E-33 <br />
