Commissioner Sinclair <br />• Requested Code Enforcement follow up at Kentucky Fried Chicken site at <br />corner of Grand and 17th with regard to landscape maintenance. <br />Commissioner Nalle <br />• Requested cost estimate of pedestrian bridge walkways for MacArthur <br />Place projects. <br />Vice Chairman Leo <br />• Recommended review of dance aspect of martini bar proposal. <br />• Requested update on City Place project. Staff noted working on finalizing <br />environmental impact report, item scheduled for Planning Commission <br />during second meeting in October. <br />• Noted concerns with traffic and pedestrian walkways crossing MacArthur <br />Boulevard between Geneva Commons and Nexus projects. <br />Commissioner Cribb <br />• Expressed concern about increasing flight pattern over north Santa Ana <br />from John Wayne Airport. Mr. Harding related a recent conversation with <br />an airport consultant who suggested that the additional flight activity may <br />be related to airspace "flexibility" associated with the inactive former EI <br />Toro marine base airport. <br />• Noted swing set on walkway in Floral Park at southwest corner of <br />19th/Broadway, requested follow up. <br />• Inquired if picnic table in front yard is allowed at corner of Spurgeon and <br />Edgewood. <br />• Acknowledged staff efforts related to the martini bar proposal. <br />Chairman Mondo <br />• Requested graffiti cleanup at First/Main at Rite Aid sign. <br />• Requested graffiti cleanup at Main/Dyer at St. Vincent de Paul. <br />• Requested graffiti cleanup at Main/Bishop, atrocious dumpster without <br />enclosure. <br />• Commented on street work and patching on Main Street, south of Dyer. <br />Manuel Gomez, Transportation Manager indicated that this work is part of <br />the under grounding of utilities, which will conclude with the repair of the <br />street and sidewalk. <br />• Requested list of city-funded contributions for Nexus project and Geneva <br />Commons to consider cost of pedestrian bridge. <br />• Noted site at Bristol/Segerstrom ran out of color-pavers, used white <br />concrete instead which did not match, requested follow up. <br />• Requested review of Chevron Station on South Bristol at Callens <br />Commons that appears out of compliance with ABC license, and signage <br />standards. <br />• Requested review of east side of Flower Street, south of Dyer and north of <br />railroad tracks, with regard to parking landscape maintenance. While <br />Manuel Gomez indicated that this is county property, Chairman Mondo <br />inquired about why the south side of Dyer is not maintained as well as the <br />north side. <br />• Recommended an evaluation of other downtown businesses with regard <br />to overriding conditions pertaining to hours of operation. <br />6.
