Ms. Nelson advised that in the Caltrans Reuse Plan adopted by City Council this <br />property had been designated as residential and that the applicant had purchased the <br />property under that representation. Discussion held regarding the possibility of the City <br />purchasing the lot and the constraints involved. Comments from the Planning Commission <br />Commissioner Doughty <br />• Requested status update on proposed One Broadway Plaza project. Mr. Edwards <br />advised that the draft EIR should be available in 60 days and that the developer had <br />prepared an informational video that would be made available. <br />Commissioner Cribb <br />• Requested status of Trader Joe's and was advised that it was in plan check. <br />• Noted that Shelly's Bistro had complained about the traffic issue at 4t" and Birch but <br />those complaints had not been appropriately relayed. He requested that staff <br />reinvestigate the issue. <br />Commissioner Verino <br />• Noted that the "No Parking Without Permit" signs on Freeman Street near Tenth <br />were missing and requested they be replaced. <br />Commissioner Mondo <br />• Noted that the landscaping is dying at the new project located at MacArthur and Main <br />and requested that staff investigate. <br />• Noted that the features of the above project (hotel) appeared to be in the process of <br />being substantially changed. Mr. Rice advised that staff would investigate. <br />Commissioner Richardson <br />• Noted surprise regarding the Public Works position on the traffic issue at 4t" and <br />Birch. <br />• Went to lunch with George Alvarez to discuss the "No stopping At Any Time" signs <br />and Mr. Alvarez indicated that he would contact the police department to determine if <br />installation policy can be adjusted..
