• Requested an update from Public Works regarding the "No Stopping At Any Time" <br />signs. <br />Commissioner Mondo <br />• Requested that Public Works also provide the criteria utilized in the selection of sites <br />for the placement of the "No Stopping At Any Time" signs. <br />Commissioner Leo <br />• Thanked staff for the preview at Memphis Restaurant. <br />• Requested an update on the Court of Appeals. Ms. Nelson advised that the EIR <br />would be completed soon, they would like to take title to City property by the end of <br />the year, the detention facility will not be moved, an RFP for the garage is in process, <br />and the project is on track. <br />• Requested direction from NI/CE regarding prioritization of Code Enforcement <br />activities. <br />• Noted that City Council approved a Mariachi festival at Eddie West Field on May 11, <br />2002. <br />Mr. Gamaliel Vasquez asked to address the Commission regarding his request to <br />construct a home at 1302 E. Fourteenth Street. He advised the Commission that the <br />proposed home was for his family. Chairman Nalle requested clarification regarding <br />how long he had owned the property and why he thought a house could be built on the <br />site. He responded that he had owned the lot for approximately 2 '/~ years and had <br />been told by the City that a house could be built on the site. He noted that he was <br />willing to meet the requirements the Commission believed to be appropriate. <br />5.
