Three days after the bid <br />opening, United Paving Company requested to be relieved of their bid, stating that they had made <br />a clerical error in filling out the bid. After examining United Paving Company's bid and other <br />documents, staff has found sufficient grounds for the relief, and therefore recommends that United <br />Paving Company's request be granted. The lowest bid was submitted by Bannaoun Engineers <br />Constructors Corporation for $1,055,870.50, which is above the Engineer's estimate of $1,026,060. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />In accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act, the proposed project is exempt from <br />future review. Categorical Exemption Environmental Review No. 2010 -132 will be filed for the <br />project. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />The funding analysis shows a total estimated construction cost of $1,257,079 for the project <br />(Exhibit 2).
