. e. On November 12, 1977, at approximately 8:35 p.m., Officer Hale responded to a <br />call of a residential burglary in progress on South Western Street. Upon his arrival, Officer Hale <br />confronted two male suspects inside the residence and was shot and killed. <br />f. Officer Hale made the ultimate sacrifice for this community and therefore it is the <br />recommendation of the Santa Ana Police Department that the department's community room be <br />named in honor and memory of Officer Dan Hale. <br />ADOPTED this 11 day of September , 2000, by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Mondo, Nalle, Verino, and Cribb <br />NOES: Commissioners None <br />ABSENT: Commissioners Solorio, Doughty, and Richardson <br />ABSTENTIONS: Commissioners None <br />ATTEST: <br />Sharon M.
