• <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2000-38 <br />Kdo/1 /28/02 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING CONDITIONAL USE <br />PERMIT NO. 00-19 TO ALLOW THE EXPANSION OFFICE <br />SPACE TO AN EXISTING OFFICE BUILDING LOCATED AT <br />4010 WEST CHANDLER AVENUE <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The Planning Commission of the City of Santa Ana hereby finds, <br />determines and declares as follows: <br />A. Santa Ana Municipal Code Section 41-472.5(k) requires a conditional use <br />permit for administrative office uses ancillary to an industrial use occupying <br />more than 30 percent of the gross floor area of buildings in a M-1 zone <br />district. <br />• B. The Planning Commission held a duly noticed public hearing on October 23, <br />2000, on Conditional Use Permit No. 00-19, to allow construction of the <br />additional office space to an existing office building, located in a M-1 zone, at <br />4010 West Chandler Avenue. <br />C. In accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act, the proposed <br />project is exempt from further review. Categorical Exemption Environmental <br />Review No. 00-60 will be filed for this project. <br />D. Santa Ana Municipal Code Section 41-638 authorizes the Planning <br />Commission to grant a conditional use permit upon making certain <br />findings. <br />1. Will the proposed use provide a service or facility that will contribute <br />to the genera( well being of the neighborhood or the community? <br />The proposed 4,000 square foot office expansion will <br />contribute to the well being of the neighborhood through the <br />architectural integration of the addition with the existing <br />building. The building is designed to complement the <br />architecture of the area and will maintain the overall property <br />values in the immediate area. <br />• <br />Resolution No. 2000-38 <br />Page 1 of 3 <br />
