MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING NO. C-9-0826 <br />EXHIBIT A <br />6. Existing signal operation characteristics — signal phasing, cycle lengths, <br />lead -lag, protective -permissive, etc. <br />7. Existing signal communication equipment. <br />8. Existing time -referencing setup. <br />9. Special characteristics such as proximity to adjacent intersections, <br />location of bus stops, location of driveways, parking prohibitions, and <br />other factors that may affect the efficiency of operation. <br />10. Photographed each intersection including location of signal controller <br />cabinet. <br />1 1 . Phot ographed the inside of each signal controller cabinet. <br />12. Note d any deficiencies of traffic control equipment at each intersection. <br />13. Note d the maintenance condition of the traffic signal equipment. <br />14. Existing preemption devices. <br />The field notes were prepared and approved by AUTHORITY. <br />Previous consultant noted factors that are expected to affect signal progression <br />including, but not limited to: intersections with high pedestrian or bicyclist <br />volumes; over -saturated intersections; uneven lane distribution; high volumes of <br />trucks and buses; high -volume un-signalized intersections, including <br />interchanges; parking maneuvers; location of bus stops; differing signal timing <br />patterns among agencies; etc. <br />Previous consultant identified any deficiencies of the existing traffic signal control <br />equipment (i.e. hardware, software) and geometric layout. Previous consultant <br />provided recommended solutions that may be implemented in order to correct <br />deficiencies and improve the traffic operations along the Westminster/17th Street <br />BRT Corridor. Recommendations provided include, but are not limited to, <br />replacement of traffic signal controller(s), software upgrades, installation of GPS <br />clocks, other traffic signal equipment upgrades/replacement, and geometric <br />layout improvements. <br />Previous consultant prepared a Field Inventory Report summarizing the findings <br />of the field review. The report contains photos and field review summary sheets <br />of each signalized intersection. The report is provided in sections in accordance <br />to each arterial along the Westminster/17th Street BRT Corridor. <br />AUTHORITY shall provide an electronic copy, in MS Word, MS Visio, and Adobe <br />Acrobat (PDF) format, of the completed AUTHORITY and agencies approved <br />Scope of Work 57 05/18/10 <br />
