C-9-0825 <br />EXHIBIT A <br />SECTION 7.0 DEFINITIONS AND ABBREVIATIONS <br />.1 DEFINITIONS <br />A <br />Acce tance: Acce ted b AUTHORITY for its use. <br />Addendum, Addenda: Written document clarifying, interpreting, or revising any of the <br />Contract Documents released by AUTHORITY. Each Addendum is sequentially <br />numbered. <br />Agency (Agencies): All Cities, Counties or Caltrans districts within the jurisdiction of <br />the three 3 BRT Corridors. <br />Approval, Approved: Acceptance in writing by AUTHORITY. Acceptance by <br />AUTHORITY in no way relieves CONSULTANT of meeting all requirements of the <br />Sco a of Work. <br />AUTHORITY: The Orange County Transportation AUTHORITY or its appointed <br />desi nee. <br />B <br />Beneficial Occupancy: Allowance by AUTHORITY, where at its sole discretion, and <br />with the concurrence of CONSULTANT, AUTHORITY, Agency and other Parties, both <br />Parties mutually agree to take early (prior to contractually scheduled) possession of the <br />work in art or in whole. <br />Best Value Approach: Method used for selecting CONSULTANT for Design, Furnish <br />and Install. <br />Bus Rapid Transit (BRT): Transit mode which can operate on exclusive transitways, <br />HOV lanes, ex resswa s, or ordina streets with limited Sto s. <br />C <br />Calculations: Numerical computations performed to demonstrate and quantify <br />com liance with the SOW. <br />California Transportation Commission (CTC): A State Agency that sets State <br />spending priorities for highway and transit and allocates funding.
