MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING NO. C-9-0825
EXHIBIT A
13. Note d the maintenance condition of the traffic signal equipment.
14. Existing preemptio n devices.
The field notes were prepared and approved by AUTHORITY.
Previous consultant noted factors that are expected to affect signal progression
including, but not limited to: intersections with high pedestrian or bicyclist
volumes; over-saturated intersections; uneven lane distribution; high volumes of
trucks and buses; high-volume un-signalized intersections, including
interchanges; parking maneuvers; location of bus stops; differing signal timing
patterns among agencies; etc.
Previous consultant identified any deficiencies of the existing traffic signal control
equipment (i.e. hardware, software) and geometric layout. Previous consultant
provided recommended solutions that may be implemented in order to correct
deficiencies and improve the traffic operations along the Harbor Boulevard BRT
Corridor. Recommendations provided include, but are not limited to, replacement
of traffic signal controller(s), software upgrades, installation of GPS clocks, other
traffic signal equipment upgrades/replacement, and geometric layout
improvements.
Previous consultant prepared a Field Inventory Report summarizing the findings
of the field review. The report contains photos and field review summary sheets
of each signalized intersection. The report is provided in sections in accordance
to each arterial along the Harbor Boulevard BRT Corridor.
AUTHORITY shall provide an electronic copy, in MS Word, MS Visio, and Adobe
Acrobat (PDF) format, of the completed AUTHORITY and agencies approved
Field Inventory Report to the CONSULTANT for review and background
information.
Consultant shall review and verify the following key components of the
completed corridor review by others:
1 . Harbor Boulevard BRT Corridor lane configurations
2. Existing street and lane geometries
3. Existing signal operation characteristics - signal phasing, cycle lengths,
lead-lag, protective-permissive, etc.
If any existing field inventory changes in the completed corridor review are
observed, CONSULTANT shall conduct all necessary fieldwork and provide field
notes to correct and implement these changes into the TSS design finalization
phase. Before fieldwork is conducted, all proposed fieldwork locations shall be
presented to AUTHORITY for review and approval. All field notes shall be
prepared in a neat and readable format and approved by AUTHORITY in writing.
Scope of Work 46 05/18/10
