MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING NO. C-9-0825 <br />EXHIBIT A <br />Previous consultant verified existing traffic signal communication systems along <br />the Harbor Boulevard BRT Corridor including equipment inside the signal <br />controller cabinets and reviewed field masters/hubs locations and equipment. <br />Previous consultant reviewed the agencies' traffic management system(s) <br />including hardware and software. <br />Previous consultant also identified all planned and programmed improvements <br />(widening projects, intersection improvements, etc.) on the selected <br />synchronized segments along the Harbor Boulevard BRT Corridor. The <br />identification of these projects included a list summarizing all improvements. <br />Key components of the completed corridor review included, but were not limited <br />to the following: <br />1. Harbor Boulevard BRT Corridor lane configurations and lane widths. <br />2. Existing street and lane geometries, curbs, median, sidewalk width, <br />pedestrian ramps, etc. <br />3. Location of traffic control equipment at signalized intersections -poles, <br />controller cabinets, service cabinets, telephone service, detector loops, <br />existing service location connection, etc. <br />4. Traffic signs and pavement markings at intersections along the Harbor <br />Boulevard BRT Corridor and cross streets. <br />5. Traffic signal controller information, such as type of controller, brand and <br />make, condition of equipment. <br />6. Existing signal operation characteristics - signal phasing, cycle lengths, <br />lead-lag, protective-permissive, etc. <br />7. Existing signal communication equipment. <br />8. Existing time-referencing setup. <br />9. Special characteristics such as proximity to adjacent intersections, <br />location of bus stops, location of driveways, parking prohibitions, and <br />other factors that may affect the efficiency of operation. <br />10. Photographed each intersection including location of signal controller <br />cabinet. <br />11. Phot ographed the inside of each signal controller cabinet. <br />12. Note d any deficiencies of traffic control equipment at each intersection. <br />Scope of Work 45 05/18/10
