Approve a Funding Analysis with a total estimated construction cost of $507,600. <br />DISCUSSION <br />The segment of Golden Circle Drive from First Street to north of Fourth Street has been identified <br />as a high priority by the City's Pavement Management System (Exhibit 1 ). The pavement is <br />deteriorating due to weather, age, and heavy usage. Some of the adjacent curbs and gutters are <br />also in various states of disrepair and require replacement. This project provides for construction <br />of new street pavement and replacement of damaged concrete curbs and gutters. Once <br />completed, these improvements will enhance the ride quality, surface drainage, and appearance of <br />the street. <br />The Notice Inviting Bids was advertised on November 29 and December 1, 2010 and bids were <br />opened on December 21 , 201 O_ A summary of the bid invitations mailed, the bids received, and <br />the bid results follows. <br />Santa Ana Contractors receiving notices: 13 <br />Contractors requesting bidding documents: 15 <br />Bids received: 8 <br />Bids received from Santa Ana Contractors: 2 <br />
