6. Comments from the Hxecutive Director. (Robyn Uptegraff) <br /> <br />6. Comments from the Hxecutive Director. (Robyn Uptegraff) <br />Me. Robyn Uptegraff was not in attendance. <br />H. Comments from the Planning Manager. (Kenneth Adams) <br />Mr. Adams informed the Commission that the Urban Design and the Education <br />Element will be brought before them for review in the Spring of 1997. The <br />Open Space Element, Land Use Element, and Circulation Element would be <br />reviewed in Fall 1997. <br />I. Comments from the Planning Commission. <br />Luis Lopez, Valley High School, introduced himself and indicated that he was <br />the new representative from the school. <br />Commissioner Mondo requested an update on: 1) the status of 2828 North <br />Bristol; and 2) having study sessions to develop City policies for phones, <br />water dispensers, magazine racks. <br />Mr. Adams indicated that there was a proposal to construct a golf course and <br />single family units at the location. However, no agreements or commitments <br />had been made to date. <br />Madam Chair Brown indicated that the palm trees in the Ralph shopping center <br />on MacArthur and Fairview appeared to be very dry and possibly dying. <br />Marvin Ellenbecker, indicated that he had recently inspected the palm trees <br />in the area; that they were still alive, however, he would request the older <br />portions of the trees be trimmed and the area cleaned up. <br />Commissioner Oliver asked the status of the Shimuza project on Main Street. <br />Mr. Jeffry Rice responded that the owner of the property had listed the <br />property on the market and staff expected to receive new proposals for the <br />site in 1997. <br />Commissioner Segura informed the Commissioners that Councilman Moreno had <br />announced another candidate to replace her on the Commission. She thanked <br />staff for the efforts and indicated that she enjoyed her service with the <br />other Commissioners. <br />S.
