COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br />ROLL CALLS The Regular Meeting of the Santa Ana Planning Commission was called to <br />order and conducted by Madam Chair Brown in the City Council Chambers, 22 Civic <br />Center Plaza, Santa Ana, California. Roll call was answered by Commissioners Nalle, <br />Oliver, Mondo, Doughty, Pedroza, Segura. Also in attendance were: Kenneth Adams, <br />Planning Manager; Gary Sheatz, Deputy City Attorney; Vince Fregoso, Associate <br />Planner; Larry Yenglin, Associate Planner; Pam Lucado, Public Works Agency, Mike <br />McCoy and Yolanda Pena, Police Department; and Sharon McCain-Johnson, Recording <br />Secretary. <br />PLBDOB OF ALLBOIANCB TO THB FLAG: The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Madam Chair <br />Brown. <br />PROCEDURAL RULEB: The procedural ru lea for the session were read by Madam Chair <br />Brown. <br />PUBLIC REARINGS, 7600 u.~., COUNCIL CHANBBRS <br />1. CONDITIONAL USB PBRMIT NO. 96-11 (Vince Fregoso) <br />Filed by Demetrios Georgantopouloa to allow after hour operations at Cozy <br />Corner restaurant located at 426 North Harbor Boulevard in the Specific Plan <br />2 zoning district. <br />LEGAL NOTICED: March 15, 1996 <br />PUBLIC NOTICED: March 15, 1996 <br />RECONNBNDATIONi <br />Approve Conditional Uee Permit No. 96-11 as conditioned by staff and adopt <br />the findings as submitted by staff. <br />Mr. Vince Fregoso, Associate Planner, provided a brief overview of the <br />applicant's request to allow after hour operations at the Cozy Corner <br />restaurant. Mr. Fregoso indicated staff believed no negative impacts would <br />result from the after hours operations and recommends approval of the <br />request. <br />Commissioner Oliver asked how long Cozy Corner restaurant had been in <br />operation. <br />Mr. Fregoso stated approximately 20 years. <br />Commissioner Doughty asked how crime was rated in the area and what types of <br />incidents occurred. <br />Mr. Fregoso stated that the crime was rated low in the area and there had <br />been two minor incidents. There had been no major incidents reported in the <br />last year. <br />Mr. Demetrios Georgantopouloa indicated that he was pleased with staff's <br />recommendation. <br />Commissioner Doughty moved to approve Conditional Uae Permit No. 96-11.
