<br /> <br />t <br />Mr. Mike McCoy, Police Department, indicated that there had been <br />approximately 10 calla. Three were for disturbing the peace; one was related <br />to a male having a gun; and the remaining calls were other incidents. <br />CommiseionerOliver indicated that there was an alley south of the building <br />that was very dark and asked what provisions would be made to improve the <br />area. <br />Mr. McCoy indicated that the conditional use permit was conditioned for the <br />applicant to provide additional lighting in the area. <br />Mr. Lincoln Wataee, Yum Yum Donuts, indicated that evening sales were very <br />important to the business. In addition, he indicated that he recently <br />learned of the police related activity. <br />Commissioner Doughty asked if a security guard would be employed for the <br />shop. <br />Mr. Wataee indicated that he did not plan to hire a security guard. <br />Commissioner Oliver asked what the company's policy was when dealing with <br />loitering and other criminal activities and how many employees would be in <br />the donut shop during the hours of 2:00 a.m. through 6:00 a.m. <br />Mr. Wataee indicated that he would try to work with the people surrounding <br />the store. However, if it was necessary he would get the police involved and <br />there would be two employees during the early morning hours. <br />Commissioner Doughty moved to approve Conditional Uae Permit No. 96-10. the <br />motion was seconded by Commissioner Nalle. <br />AYES: Brown, Nalle, Doughty, Pedroza, Nalle, and Segura <br />NOES: Mondo and Oliver <br />ABSENT: None <br />3.
