Nnnw <br />AYES: Mondo, Brown, Oliver, Na11e, and Segura <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Doughty <br />Commissioner Oliver requested staff to consider seriously any complaints <br />received from the neighborhood regarding the proposed project and stressed <br />the need for the operator of the business to take his responsibility to <br />the neighbors seriously. <br />3. EONIN6 ORDINANCE AMENDMENT N0. 95-4 (Vince Fregoso) <br />Filed by Nardini and Stanley Architects to amend the permitted land uses <br />section of the Brookhollow Office Park in order to expand the allowable <br />useslocated at 1500-1570 East Warner Avenue in the Specific Development <br />No. 8 zoning district. <br />LEGAL NOTICE: October 8, 1995 <br />PUBLIC NOTICES MAILED: October 11, 1995 <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Recommend that the City Council approve Zoning Ordinance Amendment No. 95- <br />4. <br />Mr. Vince Fregoso presented an overview of the applicants request to allow <br />additional uses such as museums, art galleries, college campuses, child <br />care facilities, union and religious meeting halls within the Brookhollow <br />Office Park. In conclusion, Mr. Fregoso stated that staff was in favor of <br />the project and felt that the proposed uses would be consistent with the <br />existing office park area. <br />Chairman Mondo inquired regarding the proposed signs and Commissioner <br />Oliver asked if SD-8 precluded swap malls. <br />Mr. Fregoso responded that the proposed sign was in compliance with City <br />standards and swap malls were not permitted in SD-8. <br />Mr. Dan Stanley, representing the applicant stated he has no objections to <br />the conditions. <br />Commissioner Nalle moved to approve Zoning Ordinance Amendment No. 95-4. <br />The motion was seconded by Commissioner Brown. <br />' AYES: Mondo, Brown, Oliver, Nalle, and Segura <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Doughty <br />Q. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS - COMMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC. <br />(For matters not previously listed on the Agendal <br />Mr. Sean Mill thanked the Commission for their support of the Northgate <br />Market and their professional business dealings with the proposed <br />projects. In addition, Mr. Mi11 expressed concern regarding the renaming <br />of Rosita Park. He stated that the renaming of the park from Roeita Park <br />to River View West Park would be inappropriate for the community of Santa <br />Ana. <br />5. E%CUSE OF ABSENCES. <br />Commissioner Brown moved to excuse Commissioner Doughty's absent. The <br />motion was seconded by Commissioner Oliver and unanimously passed. <br />6.
