Comments from the Deputy City Manager. <br />• Ms. Cindy Nelson introduced herself and stated she was looking forward to <br />working with the Commission. <br />• Apprised the Commission that OCTA had nine acres surplus after the <br />construction of the bus maintenance facility; Ewing development was trying <br />to purchase the nine acres in order to construct two industrial buildings. <br />8. Comments from the Planning Manager and staff. <br />' There were no comments. <br />9. Comments from the Assistant City Attorney. <br />There were no comments. <br />10. Commissioner Cribb <br />• Requested staff agendize a South Bristol study session and provide the <br />Commission a status update of the project. <br />• Requested staff agendize a development standard study session. <br />• Requested staff agendize a discussion concerning water elements at <br />developments. <br />• Welcomed and congratulated Ms. Cindy Nelson on her new position. <br />Commissioner Solorio <br />• Inquired as to whether or not Trader Joes was looking at properties on South <br />Bristol. Mr. Jeffry Rice, Principal Planner, stated that staff had not received an <br />official submittal. <br />Commissioner Verino <br />• Inquired as to the status of the Environmental Impact Report for the 37 story <br />building. Mr. Jeffry Rice, Principal Planner, informed the Commission that staff <br />had recently sent a letter to the applicant requesting a site plan for formal <br />submittal and if it was not received staff would suspend the project. <br />11. Excuse of absences. <br />Commissioner Cribb moved to excuse the absence of Commissioner Doughty. The <br />motion was seconded and unanimously passed. <br />6 <br />
