Several Commissioners commented regarding the landscaping at the site; the design of <br />the steeple; the equipment enclosure area; and expressed that they believed it was <br />important for the paint on the steeple to match the existing church. <br />Mr. Adan Madrid responded to the Commission comments and indicated that he had <br />worked with staff and discussed several alternatives and the design presented provided <br />the best coverage for the area. <br /> <br />Chairman Mondo closed the public hearing at 7:45 p.m. <br />Motion to adopt a resolution approving Conditions! Use Permit No. 00-76 and <br />adopt a resolution approving Variance No. 00-08 as conditioned. <br />MOTION: Verino SECONDED: Nalle <br />Commissioner Solorio inquired as to whether the chain link fence was legal and if <br />there were going to be improvements at the intersection. <br />Mr. Fregoso indicated that he would need to verify if the fence was nonconforming and <br />Ms. Joyce Amerson indicated that there were plans to do improvements at the <br />intersection, however, she would need to verify the dates of the improvements. <br />After further discussion, Commissioner Verino rescinded her motion and Commissioner <br />Nalle rescinded his second of the motion. <br /> <br />Motion to continue Conditional Use Permit No. 00-76 and Variance No. 00-08 to to <br />October 23, 2000 to allow staff and the applicant to discuss additional alternatives <br />for fhe project; research dates for street Improvements at the intersection; and <br />verify if the chain link fence was Legal nonconforming. <br />MOTION: Solorio SECONDED: Cribb <br />AYES: Mondo, Nalle, Solorio, Verino, Cribb, and Richardson <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Doughty <br />ABSTENTION: None <br />6.
