VARIANCE NO.00-01 <br />Filed by the Home Depot USA to allow relief from code requirements for signage located at 1750 East <br />Edinger Avenue in the Light Industrial (Ml) zoning district. <br />PUBLISHED IN THE REGISTER: February 4, 2000 <br />PUBLICLY NOTICED: February 3, 2000 <br />(Continued by the Planning Commission February l4, 2000 to March 13, 2000) <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Receive and file the Categorical Exemption for Environmental Review No. 99- <br />172. <br />2. Adopt a resolution approving Sections 41-862(c) 3, 41-863(a), and 41-862(6) 2, of Vaziance No. 00-O1 <br />' as conditioned and denying Section 41-863(c) of Variance No. 00-O1. <br />Commissioner Mondo acknowledged that the public heazing had been conducted at the previous meeting and <br />asked if there were additional comments from staff. Mr. Jeffry Rice, Principal Planner, indicated that no <br />circumstances concerning the request had changed. <br />Mr. Scott Sobeck, Home Depot Construction Manager, spoke regarding the issues surrounding the existing <br />Home Depot site located at Harbor and MacArthur Boulevards. He indicated that it was his perception that <br />those issues raised by the Commission, at the previous meetings, including the illegal signage had been <br />addressed. <br />
