Commissioner Solorio commented that he was willing to support me mouon, nowever, „c wvwu unc ~~ .. <br />.,_____._ _____a:__ .u,...,.e...,.,a .,,.,. do .,,,,,a,~ r>rP rn rnnc;der clinics as an allowed use in the rezoning. <br />Commissioner Solorio commented that he was willing to support the motion, however, he would like to get <br />clarification regazding the uses and that he would like to consider clinics as an allowed use in the rezoning. <br />In addition, he expressed concern regazding the property owners receiving additional information regarding <br />the permitted uses in the proposed rezoned area and allowing awning signs in the proposed rezoning. <br />After further discussion, the Commission unanimously agreed to continued action on the request and <br />directed staff to ensure that additional notification is presented to the property owners regarding permitted <br />uses. <br />The motion by Commissioner Doughty and the seconded by Commissioner Cribb were rescinded. <br />Motion to continue Zondng Ordinance Amendment No. 99-10 and Amendment Application No. 99-08 to <br />February 14, 2000. <br />MOTION: <br />AYES: <br />OPPOSED: <br />ABSENT: <br />ABSTAINED: <br />4. Comments by th <br />Doughty SECONDED: Cribb <br />Verino, Mondo, Doughty, Solorio, and Cribb <br />None <br />Nalle and Richardson <br />None <br />e Planning Cormnission. <br />Commissioner Cribb requested staff to schedule a discussion regarding the implementation of a cafe district <br />and complimented Commissioner Verino's efforts as Chair for the past year. <br />Commissioner Solorio expressed concern regarding the illuminated signs at RiteAid and if staff could verify <br />whether or not the illumination was approved or a canvas type awning and requested staff provide <br />information to the Commission regazding upcoming topics in order the Commission tie to preview the items. <br />Commissioner Doughty expressed her appreciation to Ms. Joyce Amerson for providing information <br />regarding the removal of shopping cazts. <br />' Commissioner Mondo: 1) expressed concern regarding the amount of funds spend on the removal of the <br />shopping cazds and asked if the Ciry could consider another mechanism to abandon them; 2) commented <br />that a number of requests had been made previously to staff regarding, such as, the South Main azea ,South <br />Bristol, Logan azea, Artist Village, Grand Avenue District, Main Place, Polygon, Hutton Center, <br />MacArthur Place, and Museum District areas as well as the design and development standards, he further <br />requested that staff provide a report as to the status of the projects so the Commission can prioritize the <br />work efforts on the projects at an upcoming meeting; and 3) asked for a list of all school sites in order to <br />consider planning future school sites. <br />5.
