RECOMMENDATION: <br />1. Approve and certify the Negative Declaration for Environmental Review No. 00- <br />206. <br />2. Adopt a resolution approving Conditional Use Permit No. 2001-19 as <br />conditioned. <br />' Chairman Mondo opened the public hearing at 7:40 p.m. <br />Staff report provided by Bill Apple, Senior Planner, outlining specifics of project <br />and landscaping. He noted that the applicant was aware of the conditions that <br />had been applied. Staff noted one condition with regard to the painting and color <br />choice had been added to require use of the pallet chosen for South Main <br />Redevelopment Loan Program administrated by the Community Development <br />Agency. <br />Commissioner Verino asked if there would be plants and vines on the wall to act <br />as a deterrent to graffiti. Mr. Apple responded that shrubs and vegetation were <br />planned and outlined the proposed landscaping <br />The applicant, Howard Glasser, mentioned that he appreciated the input from <br />staff and agrees with all of the conditions as long as they are provided paint <br />swatches. <br />Chairman Mondo closed the public hearing at 7:50 pm. <br />Motion to: <br />1.
