Staff Comments <br />Mr. Trevino commented on the restoration at the Joe Lowell House previously <br />reviewed by the Historic Commission and indicated that Mr. Astran, the property <br />owner, would provide a tour of the structure. <br />6. Historic Resources Commission Comments <br />' Commissioner O'Callaghan <br />• Commented on constraints of approval with replacement for same <br />architectural features on historic structures. <br />Commissioner Macres <br />• Announced that 1617 East Fourth Street home was placed on the Historic <br />Register. <br />ITEM TAKEN OUT OF ORDER <br />7. Excuse of Absences <br />Commissioner Lutz made a motion to excuse the absence of Commissioner <br />Schaefer. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Bustamante and <br />unanimously approved by the Commission. <br />6. Historic Resources Commission comments continued <br />Commissioner Bustamante <br />• No comments were made. <br />' Commissioner Chinn <br />• Thanked staff for city website updates. <br />• Commented on tour by city staff, Tom Daley YMCA building. <br />• Commented on the Basler House -the grandson mentioned the code of <br />arms on the original door. <br />Recommended that Historic Resources Commission review the <br />Renaissance Plan and give input on historical districts. Mr. Trevino <br />indicated that once the draft is available, it will be forwarded to the Historic <br />Commission. The suggestion of having an Ad Hoc Committee was <br />discussed, but no action will follow. <br />Commissioner Corpin <br />• No comments were made. <br />Commissioner Seeley <br />• No comments were made. <br />Chair Cook-Giles <br />• Commented on City's website and recommendation that templates be <br />converted to Adobe format for public access. <br />• Inquired about asbestos -what level of concern needs to be raised during <br />' inspection. Mr. Trevino provided information regarding AOMD <br />involvement. <br />• Suggested that staff do an evaluation for consideration on the Historic <br />Register for the property at 1584 E Santa Clara, last farm house on five <br />acres. <br />• Announced the 9`h annual cemetery tour scheduled for October 21. <br />Hally Soboleske announced the Template Committee meeting following the <br />Historic Resources Commission.
