Historic Resources Commission Comments <br />Commissioner Chinn - <br />• Commented on a job well done with the Presence America Community <br />Application. Hally Soboleske reviewed the application process and status. <br />• Appreciated that the cannon at Fischer Park was painted. <br />• Commented that the Floral Park entry posts were replaced with concrete <br />instead of the brick. <br />• Requested an update on Original Mike's billboard that was to be removed. <br />Staff will advise. <br />Commissioner Corpin <br />Inquired about the next scheduled Template Committee. Ms. Soboleske <br />provided information. <br />Requested a copy of the Preserve America Community Application. <br />Commissioner Seeley <br />• No comments <br />Commissioner O'Callaghan <br />• No comments <br />Commissioner Lutz <br />• Thanked staff for update on the fountain at The Bowers Museum and <br />realizing the expense to refurbish, suggested outside donations to get <br />fountain back to its original status. <br />Commissioner Sarmiento <br />• Inquired if window replacement at 721 S. Ross was within the historic <br />guidelines. Ms. Soboleske indicated the structure was not listed on the <br />historical register, modifications would be reviewed by the neighborhood <br />association. <br />Chair Giles <br />• Announced the upcoming Artist Village open house on August 6, 2005 <br />followed by the Church of the Messiah event. <br />• Praised the Preserve America Community Application. <br />• Wished Regan Candelario (CDA Neighborhood Improvement) a speedy <br />recovery. <br />6. Excuse of Absences <br />Commissioner Giles moved to excuse the absences of Commissioners <br />Bustamante and Schaefer; the motion was Seconded by Commissioner <br />O'Callaghan; the Commission unanimously approved. <br />7.
