Commissioner Kings <br />_ l~~.-.-~~L~J LL ~1 ~a~i[ :.~J:~~L~J LL~L LLB 1~~~.-: J .~ L ..: ~... .- L~~ .-- L:~L.~..:.~~I <br />Commissioner Kings <br />• Commented that staff indicated that the Commission does not review porches or historical <br />settings for historical structures; suggested an agendized discussion as to what constitutes <br />review by Historic Commission beyond items physically attached to structures. <br />Commissioner Coroin <br />• Impressed with Citywide Guidelines and inquired as to how often report will be back to <br />commission. Staff indicated that after the Ad Hoc Committee meeting in June and thereafter <br />as deemed appropriate by the committee. <br />Commissioner Chinn <br />' • Commented on lead-paint homes program "Paint Yowr Heart Out" covering 30 homes during <br />OcUSep and decision by city not to paint historic home. <br />• Inquired as to what are proposed historical mitigations on One Broadway project. Staff <br />noted item is scheduled for Planning Commission in June. Also noted, City Council setup a <br />committee to deal with the development agreement and will keep Commission apprised. <br />• Mentioned upcoming workshop at Santa Ana Historical Room on June 12 -Photo <br />Preservation/Oral History workshop, more than 10 people will encourage additional <br />workshops. <br />• Aerial photography for older areas in Santa Ana is available from Phil Brigandi, County <br />Archivist at Old Courthouse. <br />Commissioner Lutz <br />• No comments were made. <br />Commissioner Gartner <br />• No comments were made. <br />Commissioner Bustamante <br />• No comments were made. <br />Chairman Giles noted uocominp events: <br />• Episcopal Church of the Messiah hosting a concert by candlelight on June 13; Parish Choir <br />will present requiems at 7:00 pm at Bush/Civic Center <br />' • Wilshire Square Neighborhood hosting a Home Tour, "The Art of Living," hosted by HGTV <br />and Adelphia on June 26-27. Also to be featured is "open air dining" at Original Mike's Cafe. <br />• With regards to publication notices being sent out and perceived to be voluntary process with <br />inclusion of application, suggested that staff alter the text of the letter stating that the city files <br />the application and application is provided for information purposes, application will be filed <br />by staff. <br />• Requested that staff generate a CD (word documents) on Template generated homes. <br />Excuse of Absences <br />Commission voted unanimously to excuse Commissioner O'Callaghan <br />8.
