Staff Comments <br /> <br />Ms. DeRosa <br />• Announced that Laura Johnson retired and moved to her new home in Tennessee. <br />• Noted the recruitment is underway for the Planning Manager position and should be <br />filled in November. <br />• Noted she and Ms. Soboleske attended the Wilshire' Square neighborhood meeting <br />and shared information with residents on categorizing in the neighborhood. Staff has <br />identified 20 properties that are eligible for listing on the register. <br />Wished Hally Soboleske a happy birthday. <br />J. Historic Resources Commission Comments <br />Commissioner Coroin <br />• Requested that an updated Commission roster be mailed to her. <br />• Asked for an update on 1s` and Main. Ms. De Rosa noted Mr. Harrah still is required <br />to go through a general plan amendment and environmental documentation for the <br />project. <br />Commissioner Kings <br />• Requested that staff follow-up with Ben Grabiel who has names of potential takers <br />for the Broadway homes. <br />Chairman Giles <br />• Noted he received a thank you note from Anne Harder of the Santa Ana Library <br /> <br />History Room for her historic preservation award. <br />• Noted the issue has come to his attention of residents buying homes on the historic <br />register or special district that were not informed of the restrictions that surround <br />those properties. At the request from the Commission, staff will add this on a future <br />agenda to further discuss. <br />K. Excuse of Absences <br />Motion by Commissioner Kings and seconded by Commissioner Schaefer to excuse the <br />absences of Commissioners Chinn and Bustamante and approved unanimously by a <br />vote of 7:0. <br />L.
