Tenth Sfreet 121 Deluxe Apartments Landmark <br />Lynnettte Perry, Associate Planner, presented the staff report and <br />recommendation. <br />No written communications had been received. <br />Madam Chair Kings opened the public hearing. <br />Warren Taylor, owner of the Deluxe Apartments located at 315 W. Tenth Street, <br />asked why the building was being classified as a landmark. Madam Chair Kings <br />advised him that based on research it had been determined that the building <br />qualified for landmark status. He asked for information regarding any potential <br />restrictions resulting from this categorization and was advised that there were no <br />' restrictions. Madam Chair Kings requested that staff provide Mr. Taylor with <br />information on the loan programs and tax incentives. <br />Edward Danoff, owner of fire Station Headquarters No. 1 located at 1322 N. <br />Sycamore Street, advised the Commission that he had not been provided with <br />notice when the structure was originally placed on the list. He also noted that he <br />is opposed to the placement and categorization of the property. Madam Chair <br />Kings requested that staff research the issue of notification at the time the <br />property was placed on the list. <br />George Budris, resident, spoke in support of the categorization of historic <br />properties. <br />Madam Chair Kings closed the public hearing. <br />Motion to adopt a resolution approving Historic Register Cafegorization No. 2002- <br />87, 105, 107, 109, 111, 115, 119, 121, and to continue No. 2002-101 to May 2, 2002. <br />MOTION: Richardson SECOND: Giles <br />AYES: Chinn, Corpin, Giles, Kings, O'Callaghan, Richardson, (6) <br />NOES: None (0) <br />ABSENT: Bustamante, Gartner, Schaefer (3) <br />ABSTENTION: None (0) <br />Commissioner Richardson requested changes to the following templates: <br />1.
