Quarterly Report For <br />Housing Choice Voucher Program: <br />October 2005 - December 2005 <br />March 6, 2006 <br />Page 3 <br />Participants <br />The household type of program <br />participants is illustrated in <br />Chart 4. "Other" consists of <br />households that are non -elderly, <br />non -disabled, with no minor <br />children. <br />Over half (520) of participating <br />households have elderly and/or <br />disabled members. <br />4. Participating Families <br />Family Type <br />Chart 5 depicts participants by percentage of Orange County median <br />income. As of December 2005, the County's median income was $76,800. <br />Nearly three-quarters of families <br />on the program earn less than 300 <br />of the median income, which is <br />$23,040 per year for a family of <br />four. <br />Participants' incomes come from <br />a variety of sources, as <br />illustrated in Chart 6. <br />Over half (53%) of participating <br />families have employment income. <br />5.
