14. General Maintenance and Clean-up For All Parks and Contracted Sites <br />a) All trash and debris on the ground or in trash receptacles shall be removed <br />from all worksites each day Monday through Sunday before 12:00 p.m. <br />This includes all landscape areas, paved areas, street curb gutters, flood <br />control channels, etc. <br />b) The contractor shall rake, hand remove, or vacuum leaves that are not <br />absorbed by planting. This shall be done as often as required to maintain a <br />neat appearance. <br />c) After heavy windstorms or other inclement weather that impacts sites <br />under this agreement, the Contractor shall bring in extra staff to clean all <br />parks areas within two (2) days at no cost to the City. Debris, such as but <br />not limited to, litter, fallen branches, trash, Iimbs, branches, soil erosion, <br />etc., shall be removed from the worksites. <br />d) The Contractor shall keep sidewalks and all other paved areas swept and <br />free of any debris, dirt, glass, weeds, leaves, etc. at all times. <br />e) Drain inlets shall be checked and if necessary cleaned once per day to <br />avoid flooding of areas during inclement weather. <br />15. Other Requirements <br />a) Work Not Scheduled <br />The Director may delete a portion of or the entire work site from <br />contractual maintenance during a construction period or any period where <br />the Director determines that work cannot be scheduled. The deletion of <br />this portion of work will be reflected as a reduction in the monthly <br />payment to the Contractor. The amount of reduction will be based on the <br />percentage of area involved and agreed upon by the City and the <br />Contractor in writing. <br />16. Special Maintenance <br />a) City of Santa Ana Corporation Yard - The Corporate Yard is the city's <br />maintenance operation center. In addition to the standard Grounds - <br />Landscape Specification the following special maintenance shall be <br />performed. <br />(I) All trash receptacles shall be emptied daily five (5) days per <br />week and replaced with new trash liners. The Contractor shall <br />install trash liners so as not to be seen on the exterior of the <br />receptacles. The Contractor shall be responsible for replacing <br />24 <br />25H -32 <br />
