These <br />applicants are given a preference on the list. <br />Chart 2 illustrates the number of applicants by total household size, The majority of families on the <br />waiting list consist of only one or two members. <br />Half of all applicants <br />(2,'196 of zf,204; or 54%) have <br />one or two member households, <br />and would qualify for a <br />1-bedroom voucher. Overtwo-thirds <br />X71 %) of families receiving <br />assistance have three or fewer <br />members. <br />The family type of program <br />participants is illustrated in <br />Chart 4.
