6. Provide source inspection for concrete and asphalt concrete at mixing plants, and <br />inspection for other materials at their source as required by the project specifications. <br />7. Provide other quality control services as requested by the City. <br />8. Field reports shall be submitted daily to the City. Submit and distribute typed <br />inspection and testing reports to the City's Public Works Agency and the Planning <br />and Building Agency in accordance with "Green Book" and "CBC" requirements and <br />to other concerned parties within a week after the work is performed. <br />9. Submit a final report to the City within five working days upon completion of each <br />project. <br />Ill. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS <br />Since some of the city projects will be funded by Federal or State grants, the selected <br />consulting firm must comply with requirements of Caltrans' construction manual and the <br />following: <br />Certificate of Personnel <br />? The personnel who will conduct the sampling and testing must be certified. They <br />can be certified by Caltrans' District Materials Engineer, by the National Institute <br />Certification of Engineering Technologies, or by other authority acceptable by the <br />Construction Engineer of the City to be proficient in accepting sampling and <br />testing. <br />A copy of each person's certificate must be on file in the office of the <br />Construction Engineer. The certificate shall list the type of work which the <br />individual is authorized to perform. <br />The testing laboratory must be under the supervision of a registered engineer <br />with experience in inspection and testing of construction materials. This engineer <br />shall certify the results of all tests performed by the lab personnel under his/her <br />supervision. <br />? The selected firm must maintain the laboratory testing equipment in accordance <br />with recognized national standards. <br />? The selected firm must have an independent assurance testing and sampling <br />program. This program can be performed either by their own personnel not <br />involved in the acceptance testing and sampling, or by another quality assurance <br />organization. <br />? Correlation Testing Program: The Materials Laboratory shall be a participant in <br />one or more of the following testing programs: <br />a. AASHTO Materials Reference Laboratory (ARML) <br />b. Cement and Concrete Reference Laboratory (CCRL) <br />10 <br />25J-12
