South Main Redevelopment Project Area <br />The South Main Redevelopment Project Area was adopted by the City Council on July 6, 1982, <br />by Ordinance No. NS-1639. The South Main Redevelopment Project Area encompasses <br />approximately 1,500 <br />acres and is located along <br />Main Street from 1st <br />46 3E?? 4 If <br />Street to Sunflower <br />Avenue and the area west <br />of the 55 Freeway along <br />McFadden Avenue, <br />Edinger Avenue, Warner <br />Avenue, Dyer Road and <br />MacArthur Boulevard. <br />The Project Area includes <br />older strip commercial <br />uses interspersed with <br />residential units radiating <br />out from the downtown <br />along Main Street and <br />newer manufacturing and <br />light industrial uses along <br />the southeastern <br />boundary of the City. <br />Redevelopment has been <br />most notable in the <br />industrial and commercial <br />areas along the <br />southeastern boundary of <br />the City.
