AGENCY ACCOMPLISHMENTS <br />As noted, the Agency has been in operation since 1973. During the 37 years that have <br />followed, it has carried out numerous projects and programs that, both individually and <br />collectively, have contributed substantially to the elimination of blight as well as the <br />improvement of social, cultural and economic conditions in Santa Ana. The following is a list of <br />its more significant activities in each project area. <br />Central City Redevelopment Project Area <br />¦ Constructed Artist Village Second Street Promenade improvements including tree lighting, <br />benches, trash cans and bollards <br />¦ Facilitated the development of the Olson Live-Work lofts (86 total for-sale units of which six <br />are affordable) <br />¦ Renovated Festival Hall <br />¦ Implemented Facade Rebate Program <br />¦ Assisted in the relocation and expansion for the Discovery Science Center <br />¦ Facilitated historic renovation of Parker Garage as new home for Orange County Center of <br />Contemporary Art (OCCCA) <br />¦ Completed the California State University, Fullerton Grand Central Art Center <br />¦ Assisted in the Town Square Condominium Housing Project <br />¦ Completed Fourth Street Streetscape Improvements <br />¦ Assisted in the development of Rosswood Villas (senior housing) <br />¦ Assisted in the development of Main Place Mall <br />¦ Assisted in the development of Santa Ana Towers (senior <br />housing) <br />¦ Developed and implemented a Streetscape and parking plan for <br />the Main Street Corridor <br />¦ Facilitated the construction of Memphis Restaurant in Artist <br />Village <br />¦ Facilitated Bowers expansion including the Bowers Kidseum <br />¦ Facilitated the development of the St. Joseph Ballet Project and <br />relocated to the Museum District <br />¦ Coordinated construction of the Sycamore Parking Structure <br />¦ Completed pedestrian signage for the Artist Village <br />¦ Assisted with the renovation of the historic Phillip Hutton Building Bowers Museum <br />¦ Assisted with the renovation and reuse of the Fiesta Market Place <br />¦ Coordinated development of the Artist Village <br />North Harbor Redevelopment Project Area <br />¦ Assisted with public infrastructure improvements <br />¦ Facilitated the development of the Harbor Square commercial center <br />¦ Facilitated the development of Riverview West Shopping Center (including Wal-Mart) <br />¦ Assisted with the development of Riverview Apartments and single-family homes <br />¦ Assisted with the development of the La Bonita condominium project <br />Santa Ana Community Redevelopment Age 7 rn,9iopthr July 1, 2010 to June 30, 2015 <br />For the Merged Santa Ana Redevelopmena . hA1 L Page 19
