Mr. Gregory Hefter <br />February 7, 2011- Page 4 <br />Construction Observation: <br />Make visits to the site during the construction of the project, review the progress and <br />quality of the Work and to determine in general if the Work is proceeding in <br />accordance with the contract documents and the general conditions of the contract. <br />Provide assistance to the contractor and subcontractors as is reasonably required to <br />explain or interpret the drawings. <br />Shop Drawings and Submittal Review: <br />Review and take appropriate action on shop drawings, product data, samples, and <br />other submittals required by the construction documents. <br />Addendums, Bulletins and Change Orders: <br />Prepare Addendums prior to the construction contract award and Bulletins after the <br />construction contract is awarded or construction has commenced. Addendums and <br />Bulletins will provide the contractor with information relating to clarification, <br />documentation of field changes, detail changes and Client changes. The Architect <br />shall review and respond to Change Orders submitted by the general contractor. <br />Request for Information (RFI's): <br />Review and respond to requests for information or clarification submitted by the <br />general contractor. RFI's resulting in a change to the contractor's contract shall be <br />issued as an Addendum or a Bulletin. <br />COMPENSATION: <br />Professional Fees: <br />SGA shall be compensated for the Design Development and Construction Document <br />Phase hourly with a not to exceed amount of Twenty Two Thousand Five Hundred <br />Dollars ($22,500). For the Construction Administration Phase SGA shall be <br />compensated hourly with a not to exceed amount of Two Thousand Five Hundred <br />Dollars ($2,500) on an as needed basis. <br />Hourly Rates: <br />Principals $210 per hour <br />Sr. Associates $170 per hour <br />Associates $130 per hour <br />Project Architect $120 per hour <br />Designer $100 per hour <br />Clerical $ 60 per hour <br />REIMBURSABLE EXPENSES: <br />Reimbursable expenses are In addition to compensation noted above and include expenses <br />i made by SGA. These expenses shall include computer plots, blueprinting and reproduction, <br />photo work, overnight delivery and messenger delivery services, renderings and models. <br />Reimbursable expenses will be billed at 1.15 x actual cost. Plotting by SGA will be billed at <br />$1.50 / sf. <br />8OA-21
