Manuals/Standards - Where applicable, engineering design of all PROJECT improvements shall be compatible and in accordance with the following, but not limited to: • A Policy on Geometric Design of Highways and Streets (AASHTO) • CPUC General Orders Requirements • California Regional Water Quality Control Board Requirements • Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) • Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction (SSPWC) • Caltrans Project Development Procedures Manual (PDPM) • Caltrans Highway Design Manual • Caltrans Guidelines for Preparing a Preliminary Environmental Analysis Report (PEAR) • Caltrans Standard Environmental Reference • OCTA Right of Way Manual • BNSF Design Guidelines for Industrial Track Projects • BNSF Utility Accommodation Policy • SCRRA Grade Separation Guidelines • City of Santa Ana Standard Plans and Specifications It shall be the responsibility of the Consultant to verify that the latest version and/or update of these documents are obtained. G. The Consultant's work will be subject to inspections by representatives of the City of Santa Ana and other involved agencies. VI. PROJECT BUDGET The maximum project budget for performing all tasks defined in the scope of work is $1.3 million. VII. PERFORMANCE PERIOD A. The contract shall begin upon approval by the City Council, and the Consultant shall commence work after notification to proceed by the City. Unless extended by contract amendment, the contract shall terminate upon acceptance by the City of Santa Ana of the PROJECT and upon completion of the terms of this agreement by the Consultant. B. The Consultant is advised that any recommendation for contract award is not binding on the City until the Agreement and all pertinent paperwork are fully executed and approved by the City Council. 15
