DAY TIME SESSION <br />Sat ] O:OOAM — 12:OOPM 5/21 <br />Color Whoel of fho Yoar S5 /class <br />Ages 14 yrs 8c up <br />Take a journey through the seasons with Back to Natives Director of Restoration, Reginald Durant and learn what <br />native plants provide color in which season! Snowy white Manzanita flowers and scented ceanothus bloom in <br />winter, and springtime brings a rainbow of ephemeral wildflowers. Rusty buckwheat flowers and golden grasses <br />liven up the dry summer landscape, and red toy on berries herald the fall. The correct plant pallet will assure that <br />there is always something interesting happening in your garden. <br />LOCATION: Santiago Creek Nature Center, 600 E. Memory Lane <br />DAY TIME SESSION <br />Sun 1 O:OOAM — 1 1 :30AM 5/22 <br />2) The classes will be held on the dates and times agreed between Instructor and City. <br />3) Instructor will provide and be responsible for equipment, records, and personnel and <br />clean up of the facilities and materials necessary to ensure the safety and effectiveness of <br />said instruction. <br />4) If Instructor allows others to teach his/her class, those teachers must be over 21, have <br />obtained and maintain an instructor rating, and be covered by Instructors' insurance. <br />Instructor shall provide City with documentation to verify instructor and insurance <br />requirements. <br />CLASS SIZE <br />1) Each class must have a minimum of 15 paid students and no more than a maximum of 35. <br />2) No registration will be accepted after the second meeting of class. <br />3) In the event the minimum number of enrollees is not realized by the second meeting of the <br />class, the class shall be canceled. Instructor will be under no obligation to provide services <br />and the City will have no obligations to pay Instructor compensation <br />CLASS FEES <br />1) Fee range from $5.00 to $340.00 depending on class. <br />2) No refunds will be made to participants after the first week of class unless the class is <br />cancelled by the City. <br />3) The City shall collect registration fees from each participant during the registration period. <br />Instructor shall not collect fees, but shall refer all interested participants to City for <br />registration. <br />4) Instructor shall receive seventy per cent (70 %) of the total fees collected each month. City <br />and Instructor agree that City shall retain thirty per cent (30 %) of the fees collected as an <br />administration fee. However, Instructor shall retain all fees collected for classes provided by <br />Instructor during the 201 1 Spring season, through June 30, 201 1. <br />5) Instructor agrees that City is entitled to audit Instructor's records and classes to insure <br />compliance with this Agreement. <br />6) Instructor may not waive class participation/registration fees. <br />7) City shall prepare class rosters and provide a copy to Instructor.
