These features will <br /> assist in conserving water, eliminating the <br /> potential of slope failure due to mainline <br /> breaks, and eliminating over-watering and <br /> flooding due to pipe and/or head breaks. <br /> MM4.2-29 Landscape designers shall ensure <br /> that Project landscaping of <br /> commercial/industrial/common areas uses <br /> drought-tolerant and smog-tolerant trees, <br /> shrubs, and groundcover to ensure long-term <br /> viability and conserve water and energy. <br /> MM4.2-30 Landscape designers shall ensure <br /> that the landscape plan includes drought <br /> resistant trees, shrubs, and groundcover <br /> within the parking lot and perimeter. <br /> MM4.2-31 Project designers shall ensure that <br /> design features incorporate light-colored <br /> roofing materials that will deflect heat away <br /> from the building and conserve energy. <br /> MM4.2-32 The Project designers shall ensure <br /> that designs include all illumination elements <br /> to have controls to allow selective use as an <br /> energy conservation measure. <br /> MM4.2-33 Prior to issuance of a building <br /> permit, the applicant shall demonstrate that <br /> measures have been included to promote ride <br /> sharing programs such as, but not necessarily <br /> including, publishing ride sharing information <br /> for all of the tenants, designating a certain <br /> percentage of parking spaces for ride sharing <br /> vehicles, designating adequate passenger <br /> loading and unloading and waiting areas for <br /> ride sharing vehicles, and providing a website <br /> or message board for coordinating rides. <br />2-14 Revised Station District Project and FOL Settlement Agreement Findings of Fact/Statement of Overriding Considerations
