Authorize the Executive Director of the Housing Authority to execute the attached cooperative <br />agreement with AIDS Service Foundation Orange County in an estimated amount not to <br />exceed $12,000 far aone-year term to administer the wait list for the Tenant-Based Rental <br />Assistance Program, subject to non-substantive changes approved by the Executive Director <br />and Authority General Counsel. <br />COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AND HOUSING COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION <br />At its Regular Meeting on April 19, 2011, by a vote of 6:0 the Community Redevelopment and <br />Housing Commission approved the recommended actions. <br />DISCUSSION <br />Since 1993, the City of Santa Ana has received federal funds through the U. S. Department of <br />Housing and Urban Development {HUD) for the Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS <br />{HOPWA) Program to be used countywide. The HOPWA Program is designed to provide <br />resources and incentives for Iong-term comprehensive strategies to meet the housing needs of <br />persons with Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome {AIDS). Since the allocation of HOPWA <br />funds has not been finalized, an estimated grant of $1,568,178 for fiscal year 2011--2012 has been <br />utilized. <br /> <br />
