Note: The City has the right to move brickdust and Turface materials to other infields under this <br />agreement should they decide that an infield or infields do not require additional materials a <br />particular year. <br />11.0 Work To Be Completed "AS DIRECTED" <br />11.1 Replace Base ANCHORS as directed. <br />Note: City of Santa Ana use's the Roger's Breakaway base anchoring system. Contractor shall install base <br />anchors into the ground per manufacturer's standards. Top of stake shall be approximately 2" below <br />the surface grade so that the base sits level and flush against the surface on all sides. <br />11.2 Replace Bases as directed. <br />Note: City of Santa Ana shall be responsible for supplying all necessary base anchors and/or bases to the <br />contractor as needed. <br />11.3 Replace or Remove/Level/Re-Install home plates as directed. <br />11.4 Replace or Remove/Level/Re-Install pitching rubbers as directed. <br />Note: City of Santa Ana shall be responsible for supplying all necessary home plates and/or pitching rubbers <br />to the contractor as needed. <br />11.5 When given direction to complete "as directed" work, contractor shall complete the directed work on the <br />next working day. <br />12.0 Infield Turf Maintenance <br />12.1 Infield turf shall mean all sport turf in the infield, the foul territory of the infield and 36" beyond the infield <br />brickdust skin line/arc. Infield turf shall be mowed two (2) times per week on Monday and Friday. <br />12. 1.1 Contractor shall use a "greens" reel mower to provide "putting green" quality finish cut. <br />12.1.2 Infield turf shall be cut between ''/z" and 3/4" per staffs direction. <br />12.1.3 All turf clippings shall be collected and disposed of. <br />12.2 Infield turf shall be irrigated to maximize healthy growth of the turf while conserving water. Over watering <br />will not be acceptable. <br />12.2.1 Contractor shall check and program the automatic irrigation controller minimum one time per week <br />12.2.2 Contractor shall provide any areas of the turf supplemental watering using a garden hose on an as <br />needed basis to assure a high quality turf infield. <br />12.2.3 Infield turf shall be fertilized two (2) times per year in the first week of January and April per the <br />agronomic plan. <br />12.2.4 Contractor shall distribute the fertilizer evenly using a mechanical broadcaster. No hand distribution <br />will be allowed. <br />12.2.5 Immediately following fertilization the Contractor shall water in the fertilizer to avoid chemically <br />"burning" the turf. <br />25E 3"46
