Mayor Pro Tern Alvarez: <br />• Thanked David Ream for his service; much appreciated by the <br />executive members of the City, and current and past City Council <br />members; reflected on his many adages; and <br />• Congratulated Interim City Manager Paul Walters. <br />Councilmember Sarmiento: <br />• Valued David Ream's historical perspective of the City; <br />accomplishments, integrity, and institutional knowledge of the City. <br />Councilmember Martinez: <br />• Much appreciated David Ream's service to the City; have personally <br />known for many years and has been a great mentor; improvements <br />throughout the City, most notably Bristol Street widening project, due <br />to his vision and leadership; <br />• Wished colleagues Sarmiento and Bustamante, respectively, a belated <br />and happy birthday; <br />• Announced that it was Bike-to-Work week (sponsored by OCTA); and <br />• Commented on Mother's Day this past weekend, applauded fellow <br />Council Members for prioritizing life demands and continuing to make <br />their families come first. <br />Councilmember Bustamante: <br />• Appreciated the civic education learned from David Ream; has been <br />leader in our community for more than three decades, and <br />congratulated him on his upcoming retirement. <br />Mayor Pulido: <br />• Efforts made by David Ream evident all throughout the City; proud of <br />his many accomplishments; and wished him well. <br />REGULAR MEETING RECESSED AT 7:16 P.M.
