In May 2011, the RFP was posted on the City's website and sent to 17 prospective <br />vendors. <br />The City received six (6) written proposals. An evaluation team consisting of Police, Information <br />Services and Telecommunications staff reviewed and evaluated the proposals. The evaluation <br />team made its selection recommendation based on pre-established criteria. <br />Based upon this review, the evaluation team's assessment is that NEC is the best qualified to <br />provide telephone system maintenance services to the City and recommends that NEC be <br />awarded the agreement. The agreement will take effect upon the end of the existing agreement <br />so as to provide continuous uninterrupted service. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />Funds are budgeted and are available in the FY11-12 Communication Services account for <br />contractual services (account no. 10210140-62300). <br />APPROVED AS TO FUNDS AND ACCOUNTS: <br />Francisco Gutierrez <br />Executive Director <br />Finance & Management Services Agency <br />25A-2
