Sawn expansion- <br />contraction joints shall be placed eve 4 feet. <br />Landscaping & Irrigation • To the extent possible and practical all new landscaping shall be <br />drought resistant. <br />• When a lawn is being replaced, the new lawn area shall be reduced <br />to aid in the reduction of water consumption. <br />• New irrigation controllers shall be weather or sensor based and EPA <br />Water-Sense qualified. <br />• All new irrigation systems shall be designed to conserve water. <br />Fences, Walls & Gates • All new wood fences shall be made from good quality materials. <br />They shall be properly supported with 4X4 pressure treated posts (8 feet <br />O.C.) and 2X4 rails (top and bottom). The posts shall be embedded in a <br />concrete footing at least 18" deep. <br />• All new block walls shall be constructed with 6X8X16 concrete block. <br />They shall be properly supported by a continuous footing and reinforced <br />with steel bar. <br />Minimum Standard • Safe and structural) sound. <br />Rehabilitation • Porches, steps, balconies and railing that do not meet the minimum <br />standard shall be replaced.
