iNE C119 Oi SB?iB BBB <br />CALIFORNIA <br />Plwea addrue npliae fa: <br />May 8, 1910 <br />MEMO T0: City Council <br />FROM: City Manager <br />SUBJECT: IAND EXCHANGE AGREEMENT IN CIVIC CENTER <br />Attached hereto is a proposed agreement executed by the Civic <br />Center Commission which provides for the exchange of land in <br />the Civic Center between the County and the City. Two parcels <br />of land each 8,820 square feet in size are involved, The County <br />will be trading a vacant area south of the Court House to the <br />City. This parcel is currently part of the Court House lease <br />and the City will use part of it for the construction of the <br />new Council chambers. <br />The second parcel which the City is trading to the County is <br />located immediately east of the Court House and will become the <br />site of the proposed Japanese garden. This proposed exchange <br />will enable the City to construct the new Council chambers as <br />now planned and will facilitate the obtaining of a title policy <br />for the entire City Hall construction site as required by bond <br />counsel. There are no funds involved in this land exchange. <br />RECOMMENDATION: That Council approve the attached land exchange <br />agreement. <br />/ ??. <br />Carl J.
