Physical enhancement Amenities <br />The Physical Enhancement category consists of capital improvements that <br />nay include tree~landscape planting additional street furniture, fixtures <br />and equipr~ent, and other streetscape ar~enitles tine Board deems <br />appropriate, These amenities include light pole and skyline banners, <br />adver~isir~g and information l~iosCts, decorations, directories, and special <br />lighting. <br />These improvements will 1~eautify and enhance the image of Downtown <br />Santa Ana and tl~ereb}~ increase pedestrian and vehiculartraffic tc the <br />Distric#, This ao#ivit is ~esi~ne~ to enhance fhe shopping e~cperience <br />within the District boundaries, Because the ~Clyioal Enl~ancet~ent <br />program will be provided only within the District, these irnprovernents w[Il <br />constitute `special benefits" to the assessed parcels. <br />~. Administration and operations <br />lnciuded in the Adr~inistration component are the costs for an Executive <br />Director, Marketing ~rornotions coordinator, office support staff, office <br />expenses, legal fees, accour~tingfbooklceeping fees, and Directors <br />officers and general Liability insurance. <br />This component is vital to fhe proper expenditure of assessment funds <br />and the administration of programs and activities which are inter~deal to <br />prorncte business within the ~ boundaries through increased <br />cor~rnerce and the attraction and retention of new business.
