bEP 2 1 2011 <br />CGS ?v vss <br />MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING <br />BETWEEN <br />Anaheim (City of) Workforce Development Division <br />Workforce Development Board of Contra Costa County <br />Foothill Workforce Investment Board -City of Pasadena <br />Kern, Inyo and Mono Counties Consortium <br />Kings County Workforce Investment Board <br />Pacific Gateway Workforce Investment Board <br />Los Angeles City Workforce Investment Board <br />Los Angeles County Workforce Investment Board <br />Merced County Department of Workforce Investment <br />Monterey County Workforce Investment Board <br />North Central Counties Consortium <br />Orange County Workforce Investment Board <br />Richmond Works One-Stop Career Center <br />Sacramento Employment and Training Agency <br />San Benito Community Services and Workforce Development <br />County of San Bernardino Workforce Investment Board <br />San Joaquin County Employment and Economic Development <br />Workforce Investment Board of San Luis Obispo County <br />Santa Ana Workforce Investment Board <br />Stanislaus Alliance Worknet <br />South Bay Workforce Investment Board, Inc. <br />California Workforce Association, Ex-officio member <br />N-2011-109 <br />WHEREAS, the California Workforce Association (C WA) was formed to promote a collective effort to <br />address Workforce Investment Act (WIA) issues, funding opportunities and training endeavors on a <br />statewide basis; and <br />WHEREAS, the undersigned workforce investment agencies, as members of the CWA, desire to <br />formally collaborate in partnership, henceforth to be known as the "California Multi-Sector Workforce <br />Partnership" or "Partnership" with regard to submitting a National Emergency Grant (NEG) application <br />to the U.S Department of Labor and performing required activities on said project, if awarded; and <br />WHEREAS, the South Bay Workforce Investment Board, Inc. has agreed to be and has been designated <br />by the Partnership to be the lead for the NEG project and as such to serve as the Fiscal Agent for the <br />Partnership and project and the subsequent lead for responsibilities associated with the NEG project <br />including award reporting; and <br />WHEREAS, the parties hereto, individually and collectively, agree by the execution of the Memorandum <br />of Understanding (MOU) to the obligations, performances and accomplishments of the tasks described in <br />the approved US Department of Labor (DOL) grant application; and <br />WHEREAS, this Memorandum of Understanding describes the terms and conditions under which the <br />undersigned workforce investment agencies will participate in pursuing this multi-sector workforce <br />partnership funding opportunity to provide needed employment and training services for dislocated <br />workers; and <br />WHEREAS, this MOU is made by and between the undersigned workforce investment agencies, all of <br />which are referred to collectively as the parties;
