REQUEST FOR HOUSING <br />AUTHORITY ACTION <br />MEETING DATE: <br />SEPTEMBER 6, 2011 <br />RECORDING SECRETARY USE ONLY: <br />APPROVED <br />TITLE <br />QUARTERLY REPORT FOR HOUSING <br />CHOICE VOUCHER PROGRAM: <br />APRIL 2011 -JUNE 2011 <br />^ As Recommended <br />^ As Amended <br />CONTINUED TO <br />f ~~ <br />INTERIM E UTIVE DIRECTOR <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br />Receive and file. <br />COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AND HOUSING COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION <br />At its Regular Meeting of August 16, 2011, by a vote of 6:0 {Verino absent), the Community <br />Redevelopment and Housing Commission recommended that the Housing Authority receive and <br />file the Quarterly Report far Housing Choice Voucher Program: April 2011 -June 2011. <br />DISCUSSION <br />The April 2011 -June 2011 quarterly status report for the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Rental <br />Assistance Program provides statistics for the day-to-day activities of the Santa Ana Housing <br />Authority. The report is divided into three sections: Waiting List, Participants, and Production. <br />Wai#ing List <br />As of June 30, 2011 there were <br />3,630 individualslfamilies on the <br />waiting list. The waiting list last <br />opened October 1, 2007 and <br />closed November 30, 2007. <br />Charts 1 and 2 depict the <br />characteristics of those currently <br />on the waiting list. <br />1.
