These <br />applicants are given a preference on the list. <br />Chart 2 illustrates the number <br />of applicants by total <br />household size. The majority <br />of families on the waiting list <br />consist of only ane or two <br />members. <br />Half of all applicants (1,815 of <br />3,630; or 51 %) have one ar <br />two member households, and <br />would qualify fora 1-bedroom <br />voucher. Nearly three-fourths <br />(73%) of families receiving <br />assistance have three or fewer <br />members. <br />The family type of program <br />participants is illustrated in <br />Chart 4.
