Approve a Fuuding Analysis with a total estimated construction cost of $245,200. <br />DISCUSSION <br />The Catalina Street Pump Owners Association (CSPOA) is a privately owned water system lhaf <br />provides domestic wafer service fo approximately 54 residences in the City (Exhibit 1j. The well <br />serving CSPOA is contam'mated with uranium and does not meet Title 22 drinking wafer standards. <br />In addition, CSPOA does not have cedlfied operators and ceooot afford to purchase a wafer <br />treatment system. Therefore, the State Department of Public Health and CSPOA are requesting <br />that water service be provided by the CltyImprovements include installation of new water services <br />and abandonment of the existing private well Once completed, the residents will have access to <br />Clry water. <br />In accordance with Safe Drinking Wafer, Wafer Quality and Supply, Flood Control, River and <br />Coastal Protection Act of 2006 (Proposition 84 Grano requirements, a resolution was adopted by <br />the City on July 18, 2011 allowing the City fo accept Stale Grant Funding, construct public water <br />system improvemeofs and provide service to former customers of CSPOAFollowing adoption of <br />the resolution, the Ciry received a Letter of Commitment that promises fund'mg and aufhoriies
