<br /> i <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> I Welfare-To-Work (WTW) participation, employment, or job search. <br /> <br /> 2 3.3 CaIWORKs: The acronym for the California Work Opportunity and <br /> 3 Responsibility to Kids Act of 1997 as described in the state of California <br /> <br /> 4 Welfare and Institutions Code (WIC) Section 11200 et seq. <br /> 5 3,4 Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT): A team of individuals with diverse <br /> <br /> 6 expertise that meets to review case and family elements to optimize the WTW <br /> 7 activities. MDT members may consist of staff from the following areas: <br /> <br /> 8 Social Services Agency (SSA) CaIWORKs; Facilitator; Domestic Abuse Services; <br /> 9 Behavior Health Services; Public Health Nurse; One-Stop Centers: SSA Children <br /> <br /> 10 and Families Services Senior Social Worker; educational providers; Job <br /> <br /> 11 Services and Employment Support: Vocational Assessment; WTW activity providers <br /> 12 who could benefit from, or contribute to, the discussion; and all other <br /> <br /> 13 relevant individuals. <br /> 14 3.5 One-Stop Centers: Employment-based facilities integrating COUNTY <br /> <br /> 15 and contracted service providers into single workforce centers, which provide <br /> 16 comprehensive career services and labor market information to participants <br /> <br /> 17 seeking jobs under various Federal and State funded programs. The centers are <br /> 18 established statewide under S.B 1417 (Chapter 819, Statutes of 1994), to <br /> ~ <br /> i <br /> 19 implement a collaborative system of employment, training and education <br /> 20 programs and services, in support of California's economic development. Santa <br /> 21 Ana One-Stop Center is also referred to as the W/O/R/K Center. <br /> 22 3.6 One-Stop Partner: One of the entities responsible for conducting <br /> <br /> 23 the day-to-day activities associated with the delivery of workforce <br /> 24 development services to employers and job seekers, including daily management, <br /> <br /> 25 supervision, and coordination of staff physically co-located at the One-Stop <br /> 26 Center. <br /> <br /> 27 3.7 Participant: Recipients of CaIWORKs financial assistance benefits <br /> 28 who are required to participate, or have voluntarily enrolled, in the WTW <br /> <br /> <br /> (WAM0811) 5 of 40 (December 22, 2011) <br /> I <br /> 20B-7 <br />
