Orange County Children's Therapeutic AR -175 Center
2215 North Broadway Santa Ana, CA. 92706
+ (714) 547 - 5468 www.occtctc.org
October 17, 201 1
Dear Youth Council c/o Julie Castro -Cardenas,
The Orange County Children's Therapeutic Arts Center would like to request a contract extension for
our WIA grant for the fiscal year July 1, 2010 — June 30, 2011. We would like to request a contract
extension with 12/30/1 1 as the contract termination date.
This extension of this contract will allow us to continue our follow-ups and provide our youth with all
the support services, materials and opportunities needed to be successful in the workforce.
In other words, the remaining funds will be used for the following: a) to pay staff to continue to conduct
all follow-ups, b) to continue to provide support services to WIA participants, such as, bus passes,
clothing for interviews, purchasing books and supplies to pay for their certificate programs, colleges and
jobs. Finally, ifpossible, we would also like to pay for additional training opportunities for both staff
and WIA participants.
Please see a budget form and narrative in the attachments. Let me know if you have any questions or
concerns. We appreciate your continuous support and guidance with the WIA grant, and thank you for
this wonderful opportunity to serve our at -risk youth in Santa Ana!
Warm regards,
eeggards,
Dr. Ana Jimenez -Ha
Founder & Executive irec
