THREE <br /> March 27, 2009 <br /> Masonry veneer shall conform to Section 2316 of the 2001 California Building Code. Contractor <br /> shall submit shop drawings showing the connection details of the masonry veneer with the <br /> masonry wall or pilasters. <br /> <br /> Moisture barrier shall be Waterproofing Coating, Henry's "Aqua Block WB" or approved <br /> equal. The moisture barrier will be applied on the retaining side and as depicted on Sheet <br /> SW-08 of the project plans. The contractor shall apply Henry's Aqua bloc WB with a single <br /> coat by trowel or spray at the rate of 5 gal/100 sf to achieve a dry film thickness of <br /> approximate 60 mils. Carry membrane over the entire area including previously detailed <br /> areas and allow to cure. <br /> A sub-drain system shall be constructed along all walls as detailed on the plans. Materials <br /> submittals shall be submitted to the Engineer for approval prior to beginning work. <br /> Payment for Masonry Block Sound Wall Structural Detail 1, 2, and 3 shall be at the <br /> contract unit price bid per Linear Foot of each respective Details and shall include all <br /> excavation, labor and materials but not limited to masonry blocks, reinforced concrete <br /> sound wall foundation, sub-drain system, pilaster, reinforcing steel, moisture barrier, grout <br /> and concrete necessary to construct the walls complete in place and no additional <br /> compensation will be allowed therefore. <br /> The height of masonry pilasters shall be the higher of the adjacent masonry sound wall <br /> heights. Pilaster shall be constructed at ALL wall height transition and the locations shown <br /> on plan. <br /> <br /> Payment for Furnish and Install Galvanized Tube Steel Frame and Trellis at Sound Wall <br /> shall be made at the contract Lump Sum price bid and shall include all labor and materials <br /> necessary to construct the trellis at the sound wall between pilasters complete in place and <br /> no additional compensation will be allowed therefore. <br /> Payment for the Ornamental Sound Wall shall be made at the contract unit price bid per <br /> Linear Foot and shall include all excavation, labor and materials but not limited to masonry <br /> blocks, reinforced concrete sound wall foundation, sub-drain system, pilaster, reinforcing <br /> steel, moisture barrier, steel lattice structure, grout and concrete necessary to construct the <br /> walls complete in place and no additional compensation will be allowed therefore. <br /> 2.16 CMU BLOCK RETAINING WALL <br /> This section shall conform to Subsections 303-1, "General", and 303-4, "Masonry Construction", <br /> of the Standard Specifications, the project plans and details and these special provisions. <br /> <br /> Moisture Barrier shall be Waterproofing Coating, Henry's "Aqua Block WB" or approved <br /> equal.
